Police in Rhode Island have arrested an Iowa man they are saying meant to go to singer Taylor Swift’s beachfront mansion within the state and was carrying a backpack containing a baseball bat and objects generally utilized in burglaries.
Westerly Chief Shawn Lacey tells The Solar of Westerly that 32-year-old David Web page Liddle, of Des Moines, Iowa, was arrested Friday after residents reported a suspicious man at a ship yard close to Swift’s dwelling.
Lacey says Liddle advised officers he was trying to “catch up” with Swift as a result of he knew her personally and he or she had agreed to assist his singing profession.
Safety guards at Swift’s mansion advised police they’d seen Liddle earlier exterior the entrance gate.
Liddle was held on $10,000 bond at a courtroom look Monday. No lawyer was listed in on-line courtroom data.
