Singer Steve Lawrence revealed Tuesday (June 11) that he has been recognized with the early levels of Alzheimer’s Illness.

In a letter despatched by his spokesman Howard Bragman, Lawrence confirmed the analysis, saying that he felt he wanted to talk out in mild of current rumors and media inquiries.

“I’m living my life, going out in public and trying to spend as much time as possible with my family and friends while I am still able to engage and enjoy,” he wrote.

Lawrence stated he doesn’t need pity or sympathy in response to his analysis.

“I have lived and am living a wonderful, joyous life filled with love, support and amazing moments,” he stated.

The 83-year-old crooner is understood for solo hits together with the No. 1 ballad “Go Away Little Girl” and as one half of the 1960s pop duo Steve and Eydie alongside his spouse, Eydie Gorme, who died in 2013.

Lawrence and Gorme helped preserve alive the legacy of the American Broadway songbook at a time when rock grew to become dominant. They had been recognized for his or her frequent appearances on TV selection and discuss reveals, in night time golf equipment, and on the levels of Las Vegas.
