Actors, administrators, and filmmakers usually use actual life topics as inspirations for his or her works. Characters like Moe from The Simpsons, Kramer from Seinfeld, even Nacho Libre had actual life inspirations. In Elijah Wooden’s new position as a DJ and self-proclaimed music enterprise mover-and-shaker within the movie Come to Daddy, director Ant Timpson revealed he wished the actor to emulate producer/DJ Skrillex.
“When Ant sent me the script, it came with a photo of Skrillex,” stated Wooden. “No joke. He was like, ‘This is kind of what I’m imagining.’ And I was like, Oh, f—, he should be kidding. Skrillex is ok. [But] his look is extra excessive. I was like, ‘Oh s—, that is what he has in his head.’ And as we received into manufacturing, really, his concepts received crazier. Like, Skrillex was delicate compared. So, the costume design stuff, and the hair, and all of that, that was actually a collaboration. I was like, ‘He has to be human, we have to relate to him on some level. He can’t be a complete alien.’”
Come to Daddy follows Wooden’s character within the movie, Norval, as he visits his father (Stephen McHattie) for the primary time because the latter deserted him and his mom a long time beforehand. As you may see within the clip under, the look Wooden ended up going with is way extra excessive than the Skrillex inspiration he was given.
The movie launched to theaters earlier this 12 months.
