In rememberance of the 9/11 assaults 18 years in the past, 16 performers from the Broadway manufacturing of Come From Away carried out for NPR’s Tiny Desk sequence.
The present recounts the times after the tragedy at the World Commerce Middle in New York Metropolis. Come From Away tells the true tales of hundreds of passengers in 38 planes that have been grounded in distant Gander, Newfoundland in Canada for 5 days.
“The story we tell is not a 9/11 story, it’s a 9/12 story,” one of many actors defined. “It’s a story about the power of kindness in response to a terrible event, and how we can each live, leading with kindness, everyday.”
