Nation singer-songwriter Cam will headline the fifth annual “Sound of Summer” charitable live performance July 23 on the Home of Blues Chicago with proceeds going to assist She Is The Music (SITM).
Hosted by Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP’s Leisure and Media Legislation Apply, the live performance can even function up-and-coming feminine artists Ness Heads and Zealyn.
SITM is a world nonprofit began final December by Alicia Keys; her sound engineer, Jungle Metropolis Studios’ Ann Mincieli; Common Music Publishing Group chairman/CEO Jody Gerson; and WME accomplice and head of East Coast Music division Samantha Kirby Yoh. The group launched the group following a music trade report printed by the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative in January 2018, which highlighted substantial inequalities for ladies within the music enterprise.
The Annenberg Initiative, Billboard Media Group and Common Music Group have since dedicated sources and assist to the nonprofit which focuses on three preliminary pillars: all-female songwriting camps, an trade database of ladies creators and a mentorship program.
In assist of SITM, “Sound of Summer” has pledged to rent ladies for the occasion’s key roles, in each front-of-house and back-of-house positions. Billboard is a sponsor of the occasion.
