Bruce Springsteen known as in to SiriusXM’s E Avenue Radio on Wednesday morning (July 10) to talk with hosts Dave Marsh and Jim Rotolo about his album Western Stars. Throughout dialog, he revealed he shot a movie the place he performs the album from begin to end.
“We knew we weren’t going to tour,” Springsteen mentioned. “So I was looking for a way to get some of the music live to an audience and so we figured that was the best way to do it. We’re looking forward to getting it to the fans when we can.”
“I thought the record was a little off to the left and I really didn’t know quite know what kind of response it was going to get,” he continued of fan reactions to the document. “But just walking around and talking to fans on the street and seeing how the record was received was very exciting. It made us look how for we can further that experience for the fans without going out and playing live right now because I’m still working on some other things.”
Western Stars, which dropped June 14, marked the legend’s 20th high 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, starting at No. 2 with 66,000 equal album items earned within the U.S. within the week ending June 20, in line with Nielsen Music.
